SARA HERBST - Creative Producer
Sara completed a BA in Theatre & Media Studies in Bayreuth, Germany and an MA in Filmmaking: Business & Producing at Met Film School in London, UK. Upon graduating she joined a London based production company as creative producer. For several years she maintained and developed the company’s Film and TV project slate for TV and Film and represented it at international markets in Germany, France, the UK and the US.
On coming back to Germany Sara worked as a freelancer in development and production on various large scale productions for TV and the cinema. She was recruited to Bavaria Fiction as producer and worked on several projects for German public and private broadcasters and US streamers.
Sara’s ten years of comprehensive and diverse work experience have provided her with the expertise to oversee the holistic development of projects with the entire production process in mind. Through her work with creatives, production and sales companies, distributors, broadcasters and agents, she gathered an international network of industry professionals.
Sara’s personal focus is working directly with creatives and developing strong, authentic and compelling characters and stories.
Sara is a member of VeDRA (Verband für Film- und Fernsehdramaturgie e.V. // German Association for film and Television dramaturgy).
